The Albany Academies - containing the West Campus (The Albany Academy building) and East Campus (Albany Academy for Girls building) - share a nearly 200-year-old tradition of single-gender, independent education. Both campuses retain their own identities, traditions, programs and administrations while sharing a set of values and sense of purpose. A spirit of collaboration flourishes at the Academies.
The Albany Academies strives to create an environment rich in possibilities that encourages and inspires each student to attain the level of mastery of which he is capable, and to develop those personal qualities and talents that make him a unique individual, a leader and a contributing member of society.
The school also seeks to engage each student in academics, the arts and athletics through a rigorous program that challenges students to become creative and independent thinkers and fosters responsible citizenship and lifelong learning.
