Don't miss the Alumni/ae Speaker Series on January 22

Thomas Flynn '65 (pictured at left) will be at the Academies this Thursday, January 22 as the next participant in our 2009 Alumni/ae Speaker Series.
Mr. Flynn will address members of the Academies family at
2:30 p.m. in Caird Chapel. |
Mr. Flynn is an award-winning television producer and writer, having worked at CBS for close to 30 years on programs such as 48 Hours. He also has extensive experience in the radio and newspaper industries.
Mr. Flynn recently wrote a new book titled Bikeman that details his account of the events of September 11, 2001 -- the first epic poem to be published in the United States in almost 100 years.
He explains that the style of this book formed as he re-read Dante's Inferno and began to realize how "the parallel worlds of his journey to hell and mine ran together."
