Did you know that The Albany Academies has 22 international students from nearly 12 different countries represented in its Upper School student body? Hosted by families from throughout the Capital Region, these students bring cultural diversity to the Academies in a unique and special way.

As a way of celebrating this, The Albany Academies will host its first-ever International Taste of the World Festival this Saturday, February 28 from 3-5:30 p.m. Cuisine from more than two dozen countries and cultures will be available for sampling as well as dance demonstrations, Mardi Gras mask making and other hands-on activities for children.

We hope you will drop in and take part in this special celebration for our community -- be sure to bring your family and friends!

Dr. Kim also shared her positive experience as a current Academies parent with a son in our 3-year old program.

In addition, she expressed some of her favorite AAG memories and timeless advice that she learned at the Academy and beyond.

A 50-year AAG tradition continues...

image

image

Pictured (left to right) are scenes from the 8th grade girls play titled "Adrift in New York" held in the East Campus Auditorium.

The 8th grade girls did an excellent job in their presentation of the play "Adrift in New York" in the East Campus Auditorium on January 15 & 16.

The play is based on a Horatio Alger story that follows the Linden family through tough times and intrigue. From the missing son, to a banished young girl and the spirited characters of the Bowery and Geary Street, this classic melodrama has it all.

The girls were very excited to have the chance to continue this 50-year AAG tradition!
