Blazer Ceremony is a proud moment for all of us as it is the official welcome into the AAG Upper School and so takes place during Opening Assembly with all of our community present.

During Opening Assembly, a member of the class of 2017, which is the sister class of freshmen, will present your daughter with her blazer. This marks her ceremonial entrance into Upper School.
What follows are several key points to help us facilitate the Blazer Ceremony portion of our assembly.
• Please have your daughter bring her blazer to school to leave with Ms. Greene, Dean of Students, prior to Thursday, September 10. Since 9th grade orientation is on Wednesday, September 9, we recommend bringing your blazer in to be dropped off at this time.
• There will be many blazers! Your daughter’s name must be visible on the inside of her blazer. A name that is obvious on the inside of a blazer ensures that it stays with the proper owner.
• Parents of freshmen are invited to attend Blazer Ceremony. If you wish to join us, because space is at a premium, we need you to RSVP to Ms. Stacey Fontanelli, AAG Administrative Assistant to the Associate Head of School, at fontanellis@albanyacademies.org
