Nancy Carey Cassidy P'13, '15

Nancy Carey Cassidy is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the Picotte Companies, a full-service commercial real estate development, and property management firm. She chairs the company’s Management Committee and oversees daily operations.
 
Nancy is an engaged and committed community volunteer who gives her time and talents to many Capital Region organizations. One of her most notable accomplishments is the 1983 founding of “Dancing in the Woods,” an annual gala that benefits pediatric cancer programs at Albany Medical Center.
 
Appointed to The Albany Academies Board of Trustees in 2013, Nancy has served as board chair since 2015. Her work leading the board and collaborating with the school’s leadership team to ensure our long-term success has been invaluable. Even before she joined the board, Nancy, who is the parent of Thomas ’13 and Elizabeth ‘15, was actively involved, serving as president of the Albany Academies Parents Association from 2010 to 2013. She is an avid supporter of the arts at the Academies and has served as chair of ARTrageous, our major fine arts fundraiser. She has also participated in our Taste of the World Festivals, alumni and alumnae events, and annual Scholar Luncheons.
 
Nancy previously served as vice chair of the board at Albany Medical Center and is a former member of the board of the New York State Thruway Authority and the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. She was the board chair and an executive committee member of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce (now the Capital Region Chamber) and served as a board member of several other area organizations such as The Center for Disability Services; The College of Saint Rose Board of Associates; Park Playhouse; Saratoga-Capital District Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Committee; Center for Economic Growth; and Albany Business Development Corporation. She also was an advisory board member at the Lally School at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and M&T Bank.
 
Nancy is an alumna of the College of New Rochelle, where she also served on the board of trustees. She received her master’s of business education from the Executive MBA Program of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is a graduate of the Capital Leadership program of the Capital Regional Chamber.
