A groundbreaking ceremony was held on July 7 at The Albany Academy to celebrate a new pavilion to be built on the campus, a gift from the AA Class of 1970 in honor of its 50th reunion. Members of the class participated in the event, along with Head of School Chris Lauricella, Paul Bonacquisti, President of Bonacquisti Brothers Construction, and Trustee Peter Campito ‘78. The Class of 1970 Pavilion will provide outdoor classroom space for students, a venue for events, and a place for summer campers. It will replace the tent currently used for these activities. Construction on the structure will begin in the fall and the pavilion is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
