Digital Safety Presentation Recap

A digital safety presentation was held on May 8, 2019, for parents in the Stevens Center. David DeCelle, retired Mechanicville Lieutenant and community educator for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children presented timely information and tips to keep our kids safe. Some key points mentioned were, the importance of keeping the lines of communication open between parents and children, encourage kids to speak with a trusted adult (parent, teacher, coach) if they see something online that makes them feel uncomfortable, risks of sharing personal information (identity theft, hacking), and cyberbullying.
