The Albany Academies will be hosted Professor Carol Faulkner of Syracuse University as part of the Gifford History Speakers’ Series on April 5, 2023, at 11:30 am. Professor Faulkner will be delivering a lecture entitled, “Lucretia Mott at Seneca Falls,” followed by a Q & A session.
Dr. Faulkner is a widely regarded expert on 19th-century American history, with a particular focus on women, gender, and social movements. She is the author of numerous articles and books, including most recently Unfaithful: Love, Adultery, and Marriage Reform in Nineteenth-Century America, published by the University of Pennsylvania Press in 2019. In addition, she serves as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the Maxwell School. Community members are encouraged to attend!
