Open House

The Albany Academies have been preparing students for college and leadership for over 200 years. In that time the definition of “preparatory” has changed and will continue to change. Today, we are educating in new ways for the creative, entrepreneurial century that lies ahead. Soft skills such as leadership, collaboration, creative-thinking and adaptability will be critical for success. Many of these skills have been hallmarks of an Academy education.

We are now employing new methods to teach these skills combined with traditional academics and individual mentoring; these are the features of a complete education. We hope you will visit our campus to observe our teaching methods, meet some of our students and faculty members and learn about the endless opportunities at our schools.

Prospective students and parents are invited to learn more about our school at our Open House. This program includes presentations by students, teachers and administrators as well as tours of our campuses.
Mirror programs will take place on each campus; please join us in either the lobby of The Albany Academy or Albany Academy for Girls. RSVPs are welcome but not required.

Tour our campus

The Office of Admissions welcomes candidates for Grades 2 - 12 to spend a day visiting The Albany Academies. A visit is a great way for candidates to see what it would be like to attend our school. Prospective students will be matched with a host student who will take them to classes, introduce them to faculty members and answer all of thier questions. Visits can be scheduled on Wednesdays throughout the year or any day during our scheduled Visit Weeks - Feb 20-23 and April 2-6.

Candidates for Preschool - Grade 1 are required to visit for a portion of the day as part of the Application process.  These visits are scheduled after a candidate's Application for Admission has been processed by the Office of Admissions. Parents can schedule a skills screening visit in anticipation of submitting an Application for Admissions by contacting a member of the Admissions team.

The Office of Admissions can be reached by calling 518-429-2348 or by emailling the Admissions team.
