MOVE is a research based curriculum, developed by Linda Bidabe in the 1980s, which emphasizes mobility, independence and skills development in every aspect of life for a person who has a disability:in the classroom, at home, in job training, at work and in recreation activities. Specialized equipment is used to assist with movement. The Center for Disability Services was designated a MOVE international model site in 2009 and has offered the MOVE curriculum for decades.
For the fourth year in a row, Dance Workshop students will participate in this performance featuring original works created by the Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company and will spotlight MOVE dancers who have disabilities.
