Lower School Visual Art
The visual arts program is focused on building confidence, creativity and problem-solving skills in children. Art history and varying cultural practices are a common thread of reference throughout the program. Hands-on, interactive problem-solving are the means for reaching the goal of creating through exploration and experimentation. As children work their way through the art program, they gain a vocabulary and understanding of the concepts of art while unique interpretations are supported. Art appreciation and awareness are at the center of this program.
