Congressman Tonko Visit to AAG

Congressman Tonko visited with AAG students in Kindergarten through Grade Six on Friday, December 14. The purpose of the visit was to personally deliver 34 nonfiction science books to the AAG library from the Library of Congress Surplus Books Program. During the visit, Congressman Tonko answered a series of questions from students, varying in topics from why he ran for Congress, to issues he finds important, and how old he is! Overall, the congressman’s message to our community focused on the importance of choosing words carefully, just like authors must do in their books.
