In the visual arts, Academies’ students have the opportunity to express themselves with multiple techniques, materials, and artistic concepts so that they can find new and creative ways to capture ideas and evoke emotions through imagery in mediums such as drawing, painting, ceramics, and photography.
In our ECA program, the Visual Arts focus is to develop young learners who are curious, purposeful thinkers with the fundamentals of visual art techniques and ideas
For Lower School Visual Arts we continue developing skills and artistic choices that reflect the character and identity of the students and lead them to be curious and creative artists.
The students’ Visual Art journey continues through Middle School with more independence and higher-level artistic cognitive skills to develop their art to reflect themselves as curious critical artists.
Students then can choose to continue in Visual Art as part of their Art Credit in Upper School advancing to the top levels of the medium(s) to become diligent students of visual art expressing their high character and showing their curiosity as critical artists.
