Global Education

The Global Education Initiative at The Albany Academies broadens students’ worldview through guest speakers, cultural exchanges, and group trips. Upper School students can choose a wide variety of clubs and groups that foster compassion and raise awareness about global issues from human trafficking, world food shortages, and global educational inequities. Many of these clubs were formed through student initiatives and philanthropic efforts. The annual International Taste of the World Festival is a community event that showcases a variety of cultures and the global backgrounds of Academy families.

 

The Albany Academies also offer annual international travel experiences with service-learning, eco-tourism and student exchange components.

 

Approximately forty international students attend The Albany Academies each year bringing with them the opportunity for all students to learn about the global community first hand.
