Alydaar Rangwala '11

Alydaar Rangwala ‘11 is a Principal at Perry Creek Capital, an opportunistic investment firm that makes concentrated, intensively-researched public and private investments across all asset classes, industries, and geographies. Prior to Perry Creek, Alydaar worked at Bain Capital Credit, where he focused on investments in the energy sector.

Alydaar was a lifer at The Albany Academy, joining the school in kindergarten and graduating in 2011. At the Academies, Alydaar was actively involved with Independent Science Research, conducting research with Professor Frank Rice at Albany Medical College on the potential application of UVA1 light as a phototherapy for autoimmune diseases. For this research, he was selected as one of 40 finalists in the national Regeneron (f/k/a Intel) Science Talent Search competition, where he met with renowned scientists and national leaders, including President Obama.
 He was also President of the Student Council and the Investment Club, served on the regional Board of Directors of the Red Cross, and was involved with the Ronald McDonald House.

After graduating from The Albany Academy, Alydaar received an A.B. in Applied Mathematics from Harvard College. He currently lives in New York City and enjoys exploring the food scene, going on ski trips, competitively playing no-limit Texas Hold’em, and traveling the world.
