  • Ed-Tech Curriculum Integrator

    The Curriculum Integrator will play an essential role in the ongoing development of 21st Century curriculum at The Albany Academies, as such the ability to stay current with ed-tech tools and programs, and correlate those to the live curriculum of the classroom will be essential.  Thus, we are seeking a person with both technology expertise and a working knowledge of educational theory and practice. The CI will:
    • Be knowledgeable about the developmental needs and abilities of students, k-6th grade,
    • Be fluent in Albany Academies’ K-6 curriculum and offer ways of integrating technology into the work of the classroom
    • Be comfortable guiding adult learners through the stages of educational technology learning
    • Be highly creative and take initiative in acquiring and teaching the uses of a variety of educational technology tools and programs.
    • Be collaborative, communicative, respectful, and intellectually curious
    • In all ways embody the Core Values of The Albany Academies
     
    Degrees in education or educational technology, and instructional experience in settings such as schools, museums, or public maker-spaces will be a plus.

Staff Positions

  • Admissions Associate

    The Albany Academies are looking for an Admissions professional with the experience and initiative to lead its efforts in recruiting and admitting students to The Albany Academy (AA). This position reports to the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management and is responsible for meeting the enrollment goals of The Albany Academy.  This position will also work closely with the Marketing and Development Office to help develop and implement the marketing plan of The Albany Academies.
     
    We are looking for someone with the intelligent, sensitive, warm, and outgoing personality to represent the School well to prospective families, and to work with them all the way through the admissions process.
     
    Qualifications:
    • Ability to reach out to local organizations and represent The Albany Academies
    • Ability to work with a diverse group of prospective parents and students
    • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication skills—both writing and speaking. 
    • Several years of prior admission experience and familiarity with independent schools.
    • Mastery of Microsoft Office, Excel, database systems, and social media marketing techniques
    • Bachelor of Arts Degree
    This is a 12-month, salaried position with benefits.

  • Athletic Trainer (Part Time)

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Provide emergency medical evaluation, treatment, and injury triage to student athletes during practice and/or competition
    • Provide daily injury prevention, on-site evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of student-athletes
    • Provide coverage to athletic practices and contests as directed by the Athletic Director and Training Staff
    • Keep up to date confidential medical records, including, but not limited to patient history, daily treatment records, injury reports and physician referrals
    • Assist with the inventory, receiving, and stocking of all athletic training supplies and equipment
    • Works harmoniously with coaches, athletic department staff, and student-athletes
    • Communicate with appropriate athletic staff / school nurse regarding status of injury and participation capabilities
    Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from accredited athletic training program. First Aid, CPR, excellent communication skills; both written and verbal, ability to work a flexible schedule and work nights and weekends.

    Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in relevant field.

  • Director of Athletics (AAG)

    Albany Academy for Girls seeks an experienced and enthusiastic Director of Athletics to lead exceptional young women as they participation in competitive sports and physical education.
     
    The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, positive, and inspirational role model for young women and for coaches. S/he will be organized and efficient in the administration of the Department of Athletics and work collaboratively in Physical Education. Committed to physical health, sportswomanship, and team achievement, s/he will be skilled in building relationships on the fields, courts, and rinks, as well as be an ambassador for the Academies throughout the Capital Region. The successful candidate will demonstrate a history of successful involvement with leadership in competitive athletics, physical education, and athletic administration.

  • Marketing & Communications Assistant

    The Albany Academies are seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual interested in working in the marketing and communications area of a prestigious educational institution. This position is entry-level and part of a team in the Office of Institutional Advancement.
     
    Responsibilities include assisting with design, development and production of marketing and communications materials such as event programs, invitations, newsletters and the School magazine. This position will assist in developing a social media strategy for the promotion of the School and help maintain fresh content on the website. In addition, this position will assist with administrative duties as needed within the Office of Institutional Advancement.
     
     
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s Degree required; 1-2 years of experience preferred
    • Ability to work with a diverse group of people
    • Strong time-management and organizational skills
    • Able to multi-task and work flexibly with multiple projects at a time
