  • Database Manager/Administrative Assistant

    The Albany Academies—The Albany Academy and Albany Academy for Girls—are the Capital Region’s leading comprehensive, independent private schools.  The Albany Academies seek a Database Manager/Administrative Assistant to join the Office of Institutional Advancement.
     
    Responsibilities include: managing a database, processing of all gifts and pledges, managing of gift acknowledgment and pledge reminder process, producing development financial reports, and other administrative work as needed.
     
    Qualifications
    College background or equivalent work experience; work experience in a non-profit or educational institution is an advantage. Expert knowledge of database administration. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. Deep knowledge of Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edgesoftware. Additional strong computer skills are required: MS Access, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Internet searching. Must possess superior organizational skills, an ability to prioritize tasks and projects, be highly accurate in performance of tasks, and work in a team environment.  Meet quality standards for accuracy and attention to detail; must be flexible and possess strong interpersonal skills, and a gracious telephone manner.

    Security Personnel
    • Monitor activities on school campus
    • Monitor major street crossing between campuses
    • Perform daily campus security checks
    • Expected to perform maintenance duties when school not in session
